Kelly not pleased with Notre Dame receivers

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Coach Brian Kelly isn't happy with the way the wide receiver position is shaping up at Notre Dame.

Kelly said he doesn't "sleep easy" when it comes to the receiving corps, a statement that came as a bit of a surprise considering the Irish were fifth in the nation in passing last season.

The problem is the receivers have barely had time to catch their breath this spring as they switch to a spread offense that has them not only running pass patterns but hustling back for the next play in the no-huddle offense.

Receiver Duval Kamara says it's a challenge, especially when receivers also must learn to read signals for the plays.

Irish fans will get their first glimpse of the new offense at the Blue-Gold game on Saturday.
