Where was notice of school survey?

The Batavia school board has just pulled a fast one on the citizens of Batavia. In this past weekend's Daily Herald (nothing in the Kane County Chronicle) there was an article about a survey being conducted by the District Strategic Planning Team.

This survey was posted on the bps101.net Web site on March 15 with a final survey submission on April 5. The school board and Superintendent Jack Bashinger made no announcement to the Batavia voters about this survey and media did not print anything until the day before the survey ended. Over half of Batavia voters do not have students in the education system, yet these are the very same voters needed for any referendum passage and these citizens do care about the education system in Batavia.

The school board, led by the superintendent and president, just decided that what the school board plans is what the Batavia school system needs ... and voters be damned.
