Ferris, Palatine prevail at Fremd
Palatine got 6 goals from senior Brad Ferris and earned a 12-9 victory Tuesday at Fremd to maintain its divisional lead in the Mid-Suburban West.
Jeremy Stanton and Kamil Mulawa both had 2 goals for Palatine (13-5, 8-0).
Zach Zambelli led the way for Fremd (5-12, 4-4) with 3 goals.
Buffalo Grove 18, Elk Grove 6: Dan Striev led the host Bison with 5 goals as they kept control of the Mid-Suburban East race with another divisional victory. Matt O'Rourke had 4 goals and both Ian Rodriguez and Victor Sanyn had 3 for the Bison (14-5, 8-0).
Hersey 11, Rolling Meadows 10, OT: Juniors Kevin Pedersen and Stephen Petro both scored 3 goals to help host Hersey (8-7, 3-5) hold off the Mustangs in the sudden death period.
Damian Fitzsimons led the way for Rolling Meadows (3-12, 2-6) with a game-high 6 goals.
Hersey scored twice in the first overtime, but Meadows answered with 2 goals in the second OT.
The teams' first meeting this season was decided in OT, with Hersey winning that one 9-7.
