Take on more watchdog activities

Newspapers need to continue to be the watchdog of the present administration and local government.

I'm very concerned about the degree of spending and the pay and benefit increases that office holders are granting themselves without regard for those paying the bills - the taxpayers.

We want the Daily Herald to take on more watchdog activities and use their resources to scrutinize government spending - including the new policies coming out of the Obama administration.
