Can health reform control insurance?

Thank you to whoever voted for the health care reform. It is a victory for all Americans.

I just received a letter in the mail from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, advising me that as of May 28, I will be paying an additional $29.00 a month because I will be turning 75 years young on the above date. I gathered all the receipts from Blue Cross from 2009 and discovered I paid a total of $1467 in premiums for the year. Blue Cross/Blue Shield paid $777.58 on my behalf for the year. That's a total of $689.42 they made in profit from me. This is outragious.

I hope this health care reform can control the insurance companies. I am going to cancel my policy or get a really cheap one that will pay the deductable that Medicare does not pay in case I am hospitalized. I am stuck as I cannot get a new insurance company until next November. I wonder how many other seniors are being ripped off. Thank you for letting me spout off. My income is approximately $15,000 I wish the CEOs could live on that amount of money.
