Tollway receiver sues oasis businesses

Cindy O'Drobinak, the court-appointed receiver in the Wilton Partners Tollway bankruptcy, filed suit Tuesday against firms running businesses at tollway oases for breach of contract over failure to make payments.

O'Drobinak filed the suit against New York-based firms FD Leasing, Famiglia-Debartolo and Famiglia International, owners of Famous Famiglia pizza chain outlets at several tollway oases. According to the suit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court, the firms have not paid rent or contractually promised percentages of gross sales since January 2009.

It seeks in excess of $1.1 million in compensatory damages.
