Rowley leaving Northwestern
Sophomore center Kyle Rowley has decided to leave Northwestern and transfer to another school, men's basketball coach Bill Carmody announced Tuesday.
"Kyle has chosen to seek another program where he can receive more playing time," Carmody said in a statement released by the school. "We wish Kyle nothing but the best in his future endeavors."
A 7-foot native of Trinidad, Rowley appeared in 61 of 65 games over his two seasons with the Wildcats, including making 33 starts. He posted averages of 2.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 11.2 minutes per contest in his NU career.
Rowley made 28 starts and averaged 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game as a freshman. He saw action in 30 of the team's 34 games this past season, including making five starts.
