Judson University to host preview day
Judson University, 1151 N. State St. in Elgin, is hosting a preview day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 9 to area high school students interested in learning more. For details, call (847) 628-2500 or visit www.JudsonU.edu/Preview.
Judson University is a fully accredited Christian liberal arts university offering four-year degrees in more than 60 majors and minors, including Judson's newest, a three-year business administration degree. Other undergraduate and transfer programs available at Judson include art and design, communication arts, architecture, business, education, Christian ministries, biblical and theological studies, worship arts, music, history and intercultural studies, exercise and sports sciences, psychology and sociology, and math and sciences.
This special preview day event will include informational sessions about separate program areas and financial aid opportunities and a campus tour. Visitors will also have the opportunity talk with current staff, faculty and students. Visitors also will be able to attend chapel, dine in the cafeteria and experience several special programs.
During that day, visitors can take part in the final day of Judson's Imago Film Festival, which is taking place on campus all week. Friday night, the final winner of the film festival will be announced after a presentation and visitors are welcome to stay for the evening event.
Additionally, the School of Art, Design and Architecture will have John Pobojewski, the Chicago-based senior graphic designer at Thirst and co-founder of Moving Design, leading a lecture as part of the School's Lecture and Exhibition Series in the Herrick Chapel at 4:30 p.m. Visitors are also welcome to stay for this special activity.
Visitors interested in Christian ministries can attend a special overnight experience that begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 8. Judson's Christian ministries faculty, graduates and students will discuss program features and answer questions. After the informational session, prospective students will be paired with a current student who will be the overnight host and get prospective students more acquainted with Judson and the surrounding area. On Friday, prospective students will take part in the Preview Day.
