It's starting to sound like a witch hunt

I can't imagine how my Republican friends feel when I watch their representatives act so poorly. I can understand the disappointment some Republican lawmakers may feel. Although I can't believe a single Republican didn't vote his conscience and support his constituency rather than make this another political battle.

The recent words and actions of Republicans like Texan Randy Neugebauer with his "baby killer" remark or Minority Leader John Boehner's constant doom and gloom tirades have set new lows for us as Americans.

This recent health care reform bill has conjured up demons from the past. Watching Republican lawmakers "whipping up" the crowd in front of the Capitol Building was almost like being at a Salem witch trial. There will be no Armageddon or anything frightening or horrible if we remember to behave like reasonable adults.

What a terrible example some of these people have set for our young people. We can agree to disagree, but we can't let misguided lawmakers like these set the bar for American government. Shame on them.
