First Hospitality marks 25 years

ROSEMONT - First Hospitality Group will have a yearlong celebration of 25 years in the hospitality business, said Chairman and CEO Stephen Schwartz. Privately held, First Hospitality was formed in 1985 by Schwartz, who had worked with his father James Schwartz, one of the early franchisees of Holiday Inns, Stephen Schwartz started FHG to develop the then-new Hampton Inn brand. Over the next 25 years, FHG grew considerably and currently owns and operates 40 hotels in eight different states, including Hilton and Marriot affiliated assets, InterContintental, Hyatt and Carlson hotels.
