We can't trust Walsh with public money
Joe Walsh, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Congress in the 8th District, stands as yet another symbol of what's ailing today's politicians, never mind their party affiliation ("I overextended myself," Daily Herald, March 18).
How can anyone who bills himself as a "fiscal conservative," as the Daily Herald reported, but can't successfully manage his own personal finances, be entrusted with making sound decisions on fiscal policy affecting thousands of potential constituents?
Instead, he offers the lame excuse for not disclosing his foreclosure and other financial miscues before the primary elections to the fact that he "was not raised not to talk about my own personal troubles."
Please, Joe, don't talk down to us voters as though we're complete fools, as so many of our politicians today are doing. We're pretty savvy.
And you, sir, are not the brightest bulb in the lamp.
