Man sentenced for threatening judges, prosecutors

ROCK ISLAND -- An Illinois prison inmate has been sentenced to five more years in prison for threatening to kill prosecutors and judges in three counties.

U.S. District Judge Michael Mihm on Thursday sentenced Lewis L. Clark and ordered him to serve the five years after he finishes his current sentence.

Clark is serving a four-sentence for aggravated battery of a correctional employee in Henry County in northwest Illinois.

Clark pleaded guilty in October to mailing threatening communications.

He sent letters in 2008 and 2009 while at the Pontiac Correctional Center in central Illinois. The letters went to judges and prosecutors in Henry County, Adams County in western Illinois and Vermilion County on the Illinois-Indiana state line.
