Reflejos recognized with José Martí awards
Reflejos, Paddock Publications' weekly bilingual journal of suburban news and features, was recently honored by the National Association of Hispanic Publications with two 2010 José Martí Publishing Awards.
Reflejos received the bronze award for Outstanding Bilingual Language Weekly Newspaper in the general excellence category and the silver award for Outstanding Entertainment Section for Mango, its monthly entertainment section. Reflejos was recognized among publications with circulation over 30,000.
"We are, of course, honored to be recognized with other top Hispanic publications from around the nation," said Scott Stone, Paddock Publications' vice president for sales, marketing and business development. "We are proud of the continued growth and evolution of Reflejos this year, and in the 19 preceding years, and especially proud of the current Reflejos team. It is their passion and dedication that is reflected in our pages each week."
Reflejos is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, its 10th year as a member of the Paddock Publications media group.
The awards were presented during the 25th annual convention and business expo of NAHP held in Albuquerque, N.M., last month.
The José Martí awards, the largest Hispanic media awards competition in the country, recognize exceptional work by Spanish-language and bilingual publications serving the Hispanic community.
