Krahn, Stars blank Wolves
The Chicago Wolves fell behind just over two minutes into the game and never solved Texas goaltender Brent Krahn in a 5-0 loss to the Stars on Sunday at the Allstate Arena.
The Wolves (46-21-1-6) and Stars (43-24-3-4) are vying for the top spot in the AHL's West Division, with the Wolves holding a 6-point lead for first place with six games remaining on each team's regular-season schedule. Krahn (16-3-0) stopped 36 shots for his fifth shutout of the season.
"You can't give up bad goals against a good team," said Wolves coach Don Lever. "We were just too soft and they outworked us."
