Bravo to Foster's health care vote

Rep. Bill Foster made the right decision to vote yes for health care reform.

Our niece, a young teacher, has a child with Crohn's disease. As the health care provider in her family, she worries about job loss and not being able to find insurance for her child with a pre-existing condition.

We have a retired high schoolteacher friend who cannot afford to take all the prescriptions ordered by his doctor because Medicare won't cover them due to the doughnut hole.

Everyone we know tells similar stories about friends or family members. Those two changes alone will make an incredible difference in the lives of many families.

When you take into consideration that this law will lower the deficit, insure millions who don't have insurance, do away with caps on the amount insurance companies' pay and prevents these companies from dropping folks if they get sick, Rep. Foster's yes vote was probably the most important vote he will ever cast.

This was truly a vote in support of the needs of the American people. He has earned our vote and I hope yours as well.
