St. Charles bull; Jack Coeur Brooks, 21, of the 300 block of Brittany Court in Geneva, was charged Tuesday with retail theft, according to a police report. Store security at a Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, observed Brooks take two CDs and a portable CD player from a display rack. He then placed the CDs in the front pouch of his sweatshirt and returned the CD player to the shelf. Brooks then went into the men's room. When he exited, security checked the men's room and found shrink wrap from the CDs in a toilet, causing it to overflow. Brooks then exited the store and tried to flee on a bicycle. Security followed him and Brooks dropped the bike and CDs on the ground and tried to flee on foot. The total value of the CDs was $29.Bataviabull; Jose C. Coria, 23, of the 700 block of Fordham Street, Aurora, was charged with attempted obstruction of justice, driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, at 9:54 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of South Batavia Avenue, according to a police report.bull; Police arrested Quentin C. Walker, 35, of the 200 block of Walnut Street, St. Charles, on a Cook County warrant at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of East Wilson Street, according to a police report.bull; Ryan M. Kirk, 19, of the 1300 block of Fagan Road, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Main Street, according to a police report.
