Carmel Catholic soccer player Sarah McHugh scored a hat trick Thursday.
Then she did it again.
The sophomore's 6 goals led the way for the Corsairs in their 9-0 win over Antioch.
Lauren Lehman added 2 goals and 2 assists, while Lauren Bowles recorded a goal and 2 assists. Meegan Johnston also had a pair of assists.
Libertyville 4, Marengo 0: Mackenzie Jaroch and Haley Pike each had 2 goals and an assist for the visiting Wildcats in their Huntley tournament match.
Kaca Savatic added an assist, while keeper Natalie LaPlant made 2 saves for Libertyville, which was playing its season opener.
Grayslake North 2, Woodstock North 1: Senior Lainey Pasternak and junior Chloe Basa scored for the Knights, who fell behind 1-0 in the opening 10 minutes of the Fox Valley Fox Division opener.
Junior Kim Shurtliff and senior Alyssa Soulis had assists for Grayslake North (1-2). Soulis played a "fantastic game," coach Adam DeCaluwe said, as she also helped set up Pasternak's goal that pulled the Knights even.
"Tonight's weather was definitely an obstacle that challenged each and every player on the field," DeCaluwe said. "This was, by far, one of the coldest and windiest games that we have played in this program's (four-year) history."
