Become a citizen the right way

David White, I totally agree with your letter. Let's all go down to Mexico and apply for assistance of any kind.

Do you know that we are the only country in the world that grants welfare to children born to women who come across the border illegally to have their child on American soil then returns back to Mexico? With one, two or three children she can live like a queen on monies drawn from our Social Security system. This and other welfare systems are literally draining our resources beyond all comprehension.

Try taking your spouse to Mexico and have your child born on their soil and then apply for assistance. You'll go home with empty pockets. If our president thinks full amnesty is the solution to the problem, he's not up to date with what's going on. Our politicians in Washington are literally selling us out for votes.

I think it's time to wake up, America. We definitely need a revised hiring program along with many other changes. You want citizen status, do it right the way, go home and apply for legal status. You'll do yourself proud and be able to call yourself one of ours, a proud American - becoming an American citizen.
