Improv Playhouse stages powerful 'Gathering'
Josephine Forsberg's Easter-Passover themed "The Gathering," a powerfully respectful, contemporary rendering of the last hour of the Last Supper, is being reprised by Improv Playhouse-Libertyville.
Twelve male actors have been cast in the roles of the disciples as modern characters who reflect upon their lives and how they have been influenced by the personal experiences each has shared with their "Teacher." The actors represent a diverse age span ranging from early 20s to 60s and have been cast from suburbs throughout Lake and Cook counties.
David Brian Stuart directs this one-act professional drama at the Improv Playhouse Black Box, 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., in the Liberty Square Plaza near the Metra station.
Shows are at 8 p.m. on March 25-27 and April 1-3 and at 2 p.m. on March 28. Tickets are $12 advanced sale and $15 at the door; $10 advanced sales for children, seniors and military and $12 at the door.
