Guitar concert aids homeless advocates

Acclaimed musician George Winston will play a solo guitar concert to benefit HEAR US Inc. at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 28 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1313 N. Mill St., Naperville. Suggested donation is $20.

All proceeds go to HEAR US Inc., a Naperville-based nonprofit organization giving voice and visibility to homeless children and youth. It was established in July 2005 by Diane Nilan, founder and president.

Proceeds will benefit current projects underway: finish a feature-length documentary on homeless families, and production of a short documentary on homeless infants and toddlers. HEAR US receives no government grants or United Way funding, supporting its efforts by donations, sales of books and videos, and honoraria for presentations.
