Area churches join for chorale concert

Six weeks of ecumenical organ recitals culminate with a colossal finale choral concert when 75 singers, handbells, brass, strings and clergy from eight area churches join together in music and prayer to celebrate the Lenten season at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 845 W. Main St. in West Dundee.

A prelude of instrumental music will begin at 3:40 p.m. An offering will be accepted to defray expenses and provide support for future programs.

Those attending the Palm Sunday Concert are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item or personal care item to benefit FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville. Toiletries especially needed are soap, shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant.
