Elginbull; Joseph Tomasino, the 41-year-old Elgin man charged last summer with disorderly conduct for spreading the Gospel too loudly on the streets of Elgin, has been vindicated in court. Kane County Judge Joseph Grady dropped the case against him this month, authorities said. Tomasino, who continued to preach to pedestrians and motorists at three main intersections while the case was pending, said his ministry has flourished since his arrest and now involves Bible study as well as donating clothes and meals to the homeless. He continues to speak to the public on the streets daily. Hernandez-Vazquez, 21, of the 300 block of North Edmund Avenue, Wood Dale, was charged with driving without a valid license, no insurance and disobeying a traffic control device after a two-vehicle crash at 11:20 a.m. Sunday at Dunham and Stearns Roads in the unincorporated St. Charles area, police said. No injuries were reported. bull; Ami B. Foster, 23, of the 1300 block of Slater Street, Sugar Grove, was arrested at 3:49 a.m. Sunday and charged with aggravated battery after kneeing a police officer in the groin during a scuffle on the 300 block of Woodridge Circle, South Elgin, according to a police report. Sheriff's deputies had responded to assist South Elgin police investigating a domestic disturbance. At the scene, Foster tried to strike someone in a crowd and then struck a deputy in the groin while being taken into custody, police said. The report says the injured officer responded with an "open hand palm strike to avoid any further knee strikes" from Foster.bull; Cason E. Konecny, 21, of the 500 block of Thornwood Avenue, South Elgin, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. Saturday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane use, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver and two counts of driving under the influence during a traffic stop at Route 31 and Crane Road in the unincorporated St. Charles area, police said.
