Hoffman Estates is victim of poor leadership
I read with great interest the Village Board of Hoffman Estates has decided the citizens and residents of the village are once again the villains and victims of their poor governing.
This board should be ashamed of their inept actions, first they saddle us with the White Elephant called the Sears Centre, with an estimated tax burden of $88 MILLION dollars.
There is no guarantee the economy is going to recover as quickly as the folks in Washington would have us believe. And for them to have gotten the people of Hoffman Estates into this type of transaction is a disgrace. They wrapped this deal in the "cloak of progress."
Well, they had time to back out, the smart people were talking recession and downturn in the economy way back when this deal was being put together, but McLeod and his gang decided they knew better.
So now they decide to cut their losses by installing red-light cameras and raise revenue to pay for police and village payroll increases. With people still losing their jobs, their hours being reduced, benefits eliminated, people in government think they are entitled to raises and increased benefits with no regard to those who pay for them.
So we the people of Hoffman Estates have become the victims of the poor judgment from the people we elected, and are now the villains to those who travel our streets because we elected the likes of McLeod and his gang of blunderers.
