Now is no time for Reaganomics

I was appalled when I heard Republican National Chairman Michael Steele's comments about extending President Bush's tax cuts for those making $250,000 a year or more. Chairman Michael Steele said that "a million dollars is not a lot of money," when labor statistics show that I make a little more than the national annual household income and it would take me 16 YEARS to make $1 million. Does Michael Steele and the Republic Party understand we are in a severe recession with record national debt? In my opinion this is just another example how out of touch the Republican Party has become, still clinging to the concept of tax cuts for the rich will solve all our nation's problems. Can someone please tell the Republican Party that going back to Reagan-era economic policies is not the answer to our problems today!
