Four charged in Naperville prostitution sting

Four people face misdemeanor charges following an undercover prostitution investigation in Naperville, authorities said Friday.

Police were acting on tips that people were using Internet sites Craigslist and Backpage.com to offer to perform sex acts at Naperville hotels in exchange for money, Sgt. John McAnally said.

Undercover officers arranged to meet the women at hotels and motels on the city's far north side. McAnally said the hotels have been cooperating and he did not disclose their names.

Police arrested the four people Thursday and charged each with a variety of misdemeanors.

Patricia H. Scoleri, 40, of 582 Milton Drive, Naperville, is charged with keeping a place of prostitution, prostitution, unlawful possession of cannabis and violation of the Massage Licensing Act.

Jessica M. Walley, 21, of 5211 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, is charged with prostitution and unlawful possession of cannabis.

Tonya M. Adams, 23, of 6033 S. Cottage Grove Ave., Chicago, is charged with prostitution and driving without a license or permit.

Mark A. Williams, 27, of 2000 Roselle Road, Schaumburg, a self-admitted gang member, is charged with pimping, obstruction of a peace officer, driving on a suspended license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

All four have paid the required 10 percent of their $1,000 bond and have been released. Scoleri and Adams are due in court in April.

Police say there may eventually be additional charges filed stemming from crack cocaine that was recovered during the investigation.
