Area shopping centers earn awards
LOMBARD - The International Council of Shopping Centers announced that it awarded area centers with marketing awards. Yorktown Center in Lombard won in the advertising category for its "Discover Yorktown. Inside and Out" campaign. Deer Park Town Center in Deer Park won in the Visual Merchandising category for its temporary store program "Every Picture Tells a Story," which offered entrepreneurs annual leases so they could test the open concepts for permanent tenancy. Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust in Oak Brook won in the New Media category for its "Holly Green; Save, Live, Give & Win Green" program.
