Don't fight obesity with tax money

Recently Kane County and other local governments as well as the federal government have stated goals of fighting childhood obesity with taxpayer dollars and private foundation dollars.

I believe county or any other government is wasting our taxpayer dollars on fighting childhood obesity because it begins and ends with parental motivation. The parents are the ones that have to fight it, not the government with our hard earned taxpayer dollars.

I would suggest they try and slim down all levels of government spending so the taxpayers, especially in Kane County, will all have fatter wallets.
