Help sought in solving 1974 missing person's case

HOMEWOOD -- The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is asking for the public's help to solve a 36-year-old missing person's case in Chicago's suburbs.

Nancy O'Sullivan vanished from the southern suburb of Homewood on March 7, 1974. She was 15 years old at the time and would now be 51.

Homewood police Sgt. David Owens says O'Sullivan told her parents she was headed to a local restaurant but never returned home.

Owens says there's no indication foul play was involved in O'Sullivan's disappearance. He says she had a history of running away from home.

He says the investigation is still ongoing.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Homewood police.
