Diamond ring stolen in Gurnee
Gurnee police said they are investigating the theft of a $5,995 diamond ring from Zales Outlet at Gurnee Mills late last week.
Cmdr. Jay Patrick said a man entered the jewelry store in the afternoon of Feb. 24 and asked to see a diamond engagement ring. When the clerk handed over the ring, the man fled the store, ran out the doors of the mall, and into a waiting vehicle. The man was described as 5-foot 8-inches tall with a medium build. He was last spotted wearing a black pea coat, blue jeans and a BMW sports cap with long braids down his back.
Patrick asked anyone with information to call Gurnee Police at (847) 244-8640.
