2 charged in Cicero fire that killed 7
Bond has been denied for two people who face murder and arson charges in a suburban Chicago apartment house blaze that left seven people dead on Valentine's Day.
A judge denied bond Friday for 60-year-old Lawrence Myers and 47-year-old Marion Comier at a hearing in the Cook County courthouse in Maywood. Myers is the building owner and Comier handled maintenance at the Cicero structure. They are held at the Cook County jail.
Prosecutors say both Myers and Comier are charged with seven counts of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated arson.
Cicero police said late Thursday it was unclear if the men, both from Cicero, had attorneys.
The fire gutted the two-story building, which had been converted into five separate living units.
