Jake chooses Vienna on 'The Bachelor' finale
NEW YORK -- Jake Pavelka has chosen Vienna Giraldi on the ABC reality television show "The Bachelor."
Pavelka revealed his decision on the show's 14th season finale Monday night. Going into the episode, he had winnowed 25 contestants to two women: Giraldi and Tenley Molzahn.
Pavelka is a 32-year-old flight instructor from Dallas. He maintained he was in love with both women, a feeling they said they reciprocated. But he got down on one knee to propose to Giraldi, a 23-year-old marketing representative from Geneva, Fla. She accepted.
The success rate of "The Bachelor" has been poor, romantically speaking. Only four of the 13 other couples are still together.
Last week's episode of "The Bachelor" was watched by 11.5 million viewers.
