BG fire academy wants you

The Buffalo Grove Fire Department is inviting residents to join the Citizens Fire Academy, to make them familiar with the services of the department, increase fire and life safety awareness, and promote a positive image of the department to the community.

The next class begins March 10. It is open to anyone 18 and older who live or work in Buffalo Grove. The class meets one night a week for 11 weeks, and each night participants learn about a different aspect of the fire department, ranging from emergency medical services to hiring and training firefighters to special rescue operations.
