Cheney's legacy is beyond repair

Dick Cheney is now attempting to rewrite history and burnish his own image at the expense of the Barack Obama administration's effort at correcting the previous mistakes Bush-Cheney made in Iraq.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the neo-cons advocated invading Iraq before 9/11 and used the attack in New York, lies and bad intelligence and fear-mongering to initiate a war of choice. After more than 4,000 American soldiers sacrificed their lives and nearly 15,000 have been injured, not to mention thousands of Iraqi civilians, Obama has, as promised, finally set a timetable for our withdrawal.

Cheney would like to have us all believe that his lies, fear-mongering and failure to execute the war didn't happen while he criticizes Obama from the sidelines.

Maybe we should use waterboarding to extract the truth about the Iraq war from Cheney since he championed torture and renditions even though they ruined our reputation around the world. His reputation is already damaged beyond repair.
