Wheeling Park District's State of the Park District Address March 2

The community is invited to attend the fourth annual Wheeling Park District State of the Park District Address. The address will take place Tuesday, March 2, at Chevy Chase Country Club, 1000 North Milwaukee Ave., in Wheeling. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m.; the address will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude by approximately 7:45 p.m.

Keith Pecka, board of park commissioners president, and Jan Buchs, executive director, will give a presentation featuring a celebration of the park district's 2009 accomplishments, an update of ongoing community projects, and a glimpse into 2010 and beyond. The State of the Park District Address is an opportunity for the public to learn and understand the park district's efforts to provide for the current and future park and recreation needs of the community.
