Johnsburg takes Viator title

Johnsburg advanced to the Class 3A supersectional for the third consecutive year by defeating Regina Dominican 57-35 Thursday night to capture the St. Viator sectional title. Johnsburg will meet Oswego in Monday's Elgin supersectional.

Leading 20-18 early in the second quarter, Johnsburg (27-9) closed the half with a 14-1 run to pull away.

Melissa Dixson led Johnsburg with 22 points, and Mary Kate Wright added 11. Anne Wallenberg had 15 points for Regina (8-24), while Vanessa Kieres chipped in 9 points.
