Don't make us pay for sticker scofflaws
This week Mayor Johnson and the board of trustees, less one member, approved a raise in the cost of vehicle stickers.
In my opinion this appears to be a penalty for Elk Grove residents that purchase stickers every year. Are we being made to pay for the 20 percent of residents that do not pay up?
Wouldn't the prudent thing to do be to join surrounding villages that set up checkpoints to verify that all residents purchase vehicle stickers?
