Immanuel Lutheran raises $3,400 for heart association
Immanuel Lutheran School of Batavia recently completed its 11th annual Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart activities and raised more than $3,400 for the American Heart Association.
Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart were founded by the American Heart Association to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy heart, support research into heart and blood vessel diseases, and raise funds to support these efforts.
Students participated in a poster contest celebrating the theme, "Be a Heart Hero!"
The winners in each of three grade level categories are listed from first through sixth place and honorable mention.
• Kindergarten through second grade: Alexandria Patch, Allison Ten Haken, Alexia Cornea-Jones, Isabelle Lambert and Jack Carroll, Narita Lambert and Jenna Stuck.
• Third through fifth grades: Amy Ten Haken, Anaka Riani, Kelly Schmieder and Kayla Siemann, Alecia Guttilla, Tracy Ricker, and Natalie Ciaccio and Brandon Bahlmann.
• Middle School: Ellie Shackelford, Alexis Guttilla, Josh Bahlmann, Luke Jolliff, Brooke Erickson and Missy Cave.
