Train show coming to Harper College
The High Wheeler Train Show rolls into Harper College Sports Center from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7. Fun for the whole family with 20 operating model train layouts filled with cool scenery and toy trains of all sizes.
Join Radio Disney AM 1300 Road Crew from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday for games and prizes. Both days, see Lego and Thomas model trains. Door prizes included with admission ticket. Enter a free contest drawing to win one of four starter train sets.
The show comes just once a year and is fun for all ages. Be thrilled with operating train layouts in all sizes, ranging from the tiniest "Z" scale through the large garden sized "G" scale, designed by some of the best model railroaders in the Midwest. See fascinating exhibits and displays from museums, historical societies, hobby shops and distributors. Learn about a bygone era, explore miniature scenic dioramas, have fun running trains, and see how-to clinics to get you started.
The 32nd annual High Wheeler Train Show, a nonprofit model railroad show, is brought to you by the Fox Valley Division of the National Model Railroad Association. Food and beverages are available. Parking is free, and the show is handicap accessible.
