LIBERTYVILLE - US Acrylic LLC is launching a new line of glasses made with Eastman Chemical Co.'s Tritan copolyester. The Clarus line of glasses will debut at the International Home Plus Housewares Show from March 14-16 in Chicago, Libertyville.-based US Acrylic announced in a release. Eastman, based in Kingsport, Tenn., first introduced Tritan in 2007 as a BPA-free alternative to polycarbonate. US Acrylic worked with Eastman to further develop the resin for its Clarus line to offer a high-end design of plastic glassware that can also withstand repeated exposure to the dishwasher. Clarus glasses will also be molded in the U.S.
