Leave the coyotes be
The story regarding coyotes on Feb. 10 reminds me of the stories of man vs. buffalo and white man vs. American Indian.
Who was here first? Let's just take "their" home and call them pests. How about live trap and transplant? How about we build somewhere else?
Personally, I love to hear the howl of a coyote. I like to know we haven't totally disrupted the ecosystem. Coyotes feed off what our poisons do not kill. Sure as you will be reducing the population you are also killing the mom or dad of some little coyote.
As stated in the article, "They do not necessarily do any harm."
I remember brown squirrels, badgers, red tail hawks and pheasant being around here, too.
