End Bush tax cuts for the wealthy
Why would we extend and continue the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy when is has be very clear that they have not helped most average Americans?
Health costs have skyrocketed in the last several years and salaries have not changed for most Americans. The wealthy are not concerned about the increase of health care because it doesn't impact them as much as most and they get tax cuts that we do not get.
These tax cuts for the wealthy have not inspired them to add more jobs, just make them more secure to push for more tax cuts for themselves.
Let's stop the Bush tax cuts for the rich and get on with health reform that we all need. I have health insurance now with my job, but the cost has increased 30 percent each year. Before I know it, health insurance may not be covered anymore by my employer if the cost is too high. In four years, I may not be able to afford my insurance anymore.
The wealthy will still be able to afford it with the help of tax cuts that we keep giving them. I am also worried about my kids not being able to get health insurance in a few years when they get into the work force. If we think an employer will always cover health insurance, think again.
At some point years ago, many working Americans thought employers would take care of us when we retired through pensions, and we all know where pensions have gone.
We need to talk with our politicians and let them know how we feel and stop the scare tactics that big corporations and lobbyists push on us.
