Insurance companies are too powerful
We cannot let wealthy, established, arrogant, health insurance companies and their moneyed, lobbyists control the financial structure of our medical systems. Now, they tell the doctors what to charge, what medical procedures and tests they can perform, and what medications they are allowed to prescribe.
Insurance costs are so prohibitive that many people have jobs only for health needs. Small businesses can't afford health insurance. People past their 40s, in their 50s and early 60s with more than two medication or any health issues can't get health insurance at any cost.
The tight economy, and high unemployment only makes our circumstances more difficult as the powerful insurance companies continue their stranglehold on our country. We elected President Obama to help mitigate the power and control foisted upon us. Insurance companies began as a not-for-profit way to help people save enough money for a rainy day.
We must address and facilitate solutions to this problem now, not next year or five years from now. Congress must do whatever it takes to solve these medical manipulation.
