Health care latest in 'Ponzi scheme'

I think one of the biggest problems, and rightfully so, with getting a health care bill passed over the years is that the money to be used for the program will take the path of Social Security. The only thing left in the Social Security reserve fund is a bunch of IOUs. Washington has raided and depleted the fund and used the money for other programs and expenditures. Social Security would have large surpluses had that not been the practice.

The money is spent - gone! Yes, borrowed by our legislators and used for other purposes - probably needed to fill the revenue gap caused by the tax breaks to the wealthy. And since we are in a continuous deficit, the only way to repay the IOUs to borrow from somewhere else. It has been the biggest Ponzi scheme ever perpetrated on the American people in the history of the nation. Washington makes Madoff look like an amateur. Should the health care bill be passed, believe me, it will follow the same path. More borrowing will be needed and worse, money will not be used for the program as intended. Do you think people don't realize this? Every year more and more people have nothing but contempt for Washington, and deservedly so.
