One seriously injured in Gurnee crash

Two people were injured, one seriously, in a car crash in Gurnee Friday morning.

A 2003 Ford Excursion collided with a 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse about 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Bridlewood Avenue, according to Gurnee police Sgt. John Ward.

The victims were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center. The driver of the Ford had minor injuries. The driver of the Mitsubishi was seriously hurt and unresponsive at the scene, according to Gurnee Fire Department officials.

The crash is under investigation, and no tickets have been issued yet, Ward said.
