Social networking dangers discussed
Sexual harassment and cyberbullying via Facebook and texting have school staff and local law enforcement officials increasingly concerned. Kildeer-Countryside Elementary District 96 will hold a round-table discussion for parents, The Wild World of Social Networking, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Twin Groves Middle School Learning Center, 2600 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.
The round-table on potential lifelong consequences of misuse of social media will be led by District 96 staff and Buffalo Grove police officers. Curfew and cell phone restrictions while driving will also be discussed. For information, call (847) 459-4260, ext. 7722.
