Villagrana, 24, of the 400 block of Spring Drive, Marengo, was arrested at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe in a traffic stop at Routes 20 and 47 in unincorporated Hampshire, police said. Villagrana was a passenger. bull; An estimated $11,400 in jewelry was reported stolen Jan. 31 on the 39W100 block of Shannon Square in unincorporated Geneva. The jewelry included diamond earrings, several diamond rings, an emerald ring, and a diamond pendant, according to a police report. bull; Police responded to a burglary alarm at 1:46 a.m. Thursday at Buck Brothers Inc., 14N937 Route 20, Hampshire. According to a police report, it appeared burglars smashed a glass door with a rock and stole several chain saws and other tools from the business's showroom. Surveillance video showed two subjects run north from the building through a parking lot, each carrying about four items, police said.Bataviabull; Elizabeth C. Anderson, 20, of the 900 block of South Jefferson Avenue, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol at 1:21 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.bull; A malfunctioning part led to heat buildup that caused a dryer to catch on fire at 5:51 a.m. Monday at a house in the 200 block of Bradford Circle, according to the fire department. It caused about $3,000 damage in smoke and heat damage to the house and its contents. The actual fire was contained to the dryer. No one was injured.Elginbull; Santos H. Pena, 64, of the 0-99 block of Knollwood Court, Montgomery, was arrested and charged with trespassing at 12:36 a.m. Sunday at the Grand Victoria Casino, 250 S. Grove Ave., according to a police report. Pena, who has been on the casino's banned list since 2006, won a $1,600 slot machine prize and tried to claim it was her husband's when casino officials recognized her. She is due in court on March 5.
