Maine West student art on display

Maine West High School Digital Imaging Advanced Placement students will have an exhibit for public viewing throughout February at Sweet Remembrance Coffee House, 614 Lee St. in Des Plaines.

An artist reception at the coffee house is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The six seniors - Courtney Harris, Jessica Kaiser, Julia Paul, Meghan Penebaker, Frank Pennavaria and Maya Wysocki - selected artwork that represents the portfolios they will submit to the College Board in May for potential college credit. More than 30 pieces of their work are included in this exhibit, which definitely is a show worth seeing.
