Leadership series looks at building a team
If you have ever wondered how changing groups into powerful teams can help your organization thrive in any situation, join the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce and Aurora University's Dunham School of Business Friday, Feb. 12, for the second program in the leadership series, "Leading Effective Teams."
The session will be held at the Hotel Arista at CityGate Centre in Naperville. Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the panel discussion from 8 to 10 a.m.
Panel members for this session include:
• Mike Hensley, vice president of sales for NetScout Systems, manages more than 100 professional salespeople. NetScout's clients are predominantly Fortune 500 companies.
• Rolando Orama is senior vice president with Chubb and Son Insurance Co., a Fortune 200 company and the fourth largest insurance company in the U.S. by capitalization. In his current role, he is responsible for the claims operation encompassing a geographic area covering 12 Midwestern states.
• Leslie Hagemann is senior manager of organizational development for Nicor. She has 25 years of experience within insurance and energy, helping individuals, teams and organizations both local and global find practical solutions to human resources and organizational development challenges. Hagemann has obtained diverse experience in management, employee relations, leadership programs, employee training/development, project management, and process improvement.
• Elton Richards is a retired first sergeant from the U.S. Army, currently working as a regional manager for ComEd in northern Illinois. He manages the region's electric distribution system repair, new business, construction and maintenance work force of approximately 200 union and management employees, along with a substantial contracting work force.
