Arlington Heights cancels meeting

For the first time in almost a decade the Arlington Heights Village Board canceled its regularly scheduled meeting Monday night.

The last time this occurred was in 2001, said Mayor Arlene Mulder. There were no items needing board action at this time, said Village Manager Bill Dixon.

"It would have given me a chance to have a meeting shorter than 20 minutes," said Mulder, who is teased by trustees for the length of meetings.
