Venture Crew, mall to host Rail-Rama 2010 in St. Charles

Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew 9911 and Charlestowne Mall will present its "Rail-Rama 2010" from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Charlestowne Mall, 3800 E. Main St., St. Charles.

Rail-Rama 2010 is an operating weekend of model trains from N gauge to the large scale Garden Railroading.

Venture Crew 9911 was registered as a Railroading Venture Crew in 1985.

It was the intent of the organizers and sponsor to establish an activity around railroading. They would teach the members how railroading changed the industry from the early 1850s to the present day.

If you are interested in Model Railroading, Venture Crew 9911 is looking for youth ages 14 to 20.

Each year, the crew participates in local train shows and Three Fires Council events.
